Unholy Alliance
David Horowitz has literally written the book on the dangerously converging agendas of the American left and the Islamofacists. His article "Vindication: There is an unholy alliance" expands on recent developments involving the ugly spewings of British Dhimmi-in-Chief George Galloway and the parade of lawyers flocking to the Gitmo terrorist incarceration center.
Meanwhile, Power Line's Scott Johnson reminds us of his Front Page Mag article on the same subject.
Thinking people who might see themselves in the thoughts and actions of these enemies of western civilization can only be revulsed. The rest will settle back into the false comfort of their "screw 'em" brand of dhimmitude. How one can live with that is beyond me.

Time And Chance
This ADN Kronos International story caught my eye: "FORMER PM REVEALS SECRET SERVICE DATA ON BIRTH OF AL-QAEDA IN IRAQ."
"The number two of the al-Qaeda network, Ayman al-Zawahiri, visited Iraq under a false name in September 1999 to take part in the ninth Popular Islamic Congress, former Iraqi premier Iyad Allawi has revealed to pan-Arab daily al-Hayat. In an interview, Allawi made public information discovered by the Iraqi secret service in the archives of the Saddam Hussein regime, which sheds light on the relationship between Saddam Hussein and the Islamic terrorist network. He also said that both al-Zawahiri and Jordanian militant al-Zarqawi probably entered Iraq in the same period."

A Good Thing
For a pointed example of how Islamofacist apologists play their game, read Haroon Siddiqui's fevered rant in the Toronto Star, in which he condemns the toilet-flushing desecration of the Koran reported in Newsweek. You know-- the one that didn't happen.
Apparently he didn't get that memo. But he sure can find a scapegoat when he needs one: in this case, it's Indian Hindus.
I love this line: "What they (the NYT and Thomas Friedman, for god's sake) want is for Muslims to berate Muslims for being Muslim in a way not acceptable to America." I guess for example when they pirate and then crash our own airliners into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
So yes, there is a big problem with being a Muslim in a way not acceptable to America, and spreading that word is A Good Thing.
Update: More Koran Abuse!

Lebanon
MICHAEL YOUNG shows how American strategy is succeeding in Lebanon:
"Those who accuse the Bush administration of incompetence in the Middle East because of events in Iraq may soon have to temper that with an assessment of its shrewder behavior in Lebanon."
As Glenn Reynolds points out, "Of course, the latter was made possible by the former."
It almost seems to have been planned.

Declaring The Enemy: Islamic Facism
Bloggledygook critiques the NYT's Frank Rich to illuminate the true nature of the Islamofacists' war against Western civilization. It's a crucial read.
See also The Belmont Club, Diane West and Austin Bay. A trend is developing: it's time to declare the enemy and shout out his name.
I am no longer baffled by the left's refusal to embrace and say "yes" to the fact that we in the west are facing an existential crisis and need to get on with the job of crushing the enemy. They simply do not believe that to be so. They don't want to. In their self-denial they are like as to Chamberlain waving his piece of paper and declaring "peace in our time", about which he was proved so god-damned monumentally, astonishingly naively and disastrously wrong.
Today the left would have the west hurtle headlong towards making the very same mistake, but the White House is making its own by not energetically exhorting whatever is left of moderate Islam to take responsibility for the cancer that is eating away at both the religion and the future of its existence in a civilized world. It's time to turn that around and shine the light hard and fast on the enemy. The first step is to call out terror's names: Bin Laden, Zarqawi, Abbas, the Iranian mullahs, Fatah, Hezbollah, MoveOn.org, and the rest of facist Islam, its friends and dupes and lobbyists and apologists, its obstructionists and useful idiots and other aspiring dhimmis.
Islam must begin to take responsibility for the Bin Ladens and Zarqawis who are using the religion as a justification for murder on whatever scale they can manage. They have to take responsibility for the hatred and intolerance against the west being taught in their mosques and madrassas, and for their treatment of women, minorities, and believers of other religious traditions, and they must renounce these things. Islamofacism must be defeated, not ignored or defended or, most insanely, apologized to. There is no room for Islamic facism anywhere in this planet's civilizational aspirations. Period.

Sanctuary
Bill Whittle of Eject!Eject!Eject! is back after a long hiatus and delivers a personal manifesto. Lefties should steer clear of this because it deals with things like reality and nature and the cost of piss-poor judgement.
In fact it goes pretty much all the way to answering some quite noxious personal correspondence.
Thanks, Bill, I owe you.

Belinda Strumpet and Other Whores
Andrew Coyne's article says it all. Canadians can wave goodbye to any last hint of real democracy there.
Never mind what her betrayal means to the Conservatives; the problem for Canada is not just that Belinda Stronach absconded to the Liberals, it's that by doing so, she has helped the most corrupt federal government in Canadian history to continue to subvert democracy there. Colby Cosh points out this quote from Michael Bliss:
Canadians ought to realize that this week's breakdown of their Parliament is far more serious than any of the thuggish revelations from the Gomery commission. As of this weekend, we are in the historically unprecedented situation of having a Prime Minister who is clinging to office by recklessly disregarding the fundamental principles of our democracy. It is a shocking act of proto-tyranny, which justifies the extreme resort of intervention by the Governor-General.
I am not writing this lightly or with any knowledge of or involvement in any party's strategy. Nor do I think that most Canadians understand or perhaps even care about the complexities of the constitutional imbroglio that has unfolded since the opposition began defeating the government in the Commons last Wednesday. Canada this weekend has a government clinging to office against the repeatedly expressed wishes of a majority of the democratically elected members of the House of Commons.
...The defeat of the Martin government on Tuesday came on a procedural, not a confidence motion, but it was such a clear sign that a majority of the House of Commons do not support the government that virtually all constitutional experts are agreed that an immediate test of the House's confidence was required.
Instead of doing this, the government proposed a nine-day delay, offering reasons for the delay so transparently bogus as to affront the intelligence of a 10-year-old. The British Columbia election has nothing whatever to do with the affairs of the Parliament of Canada. The visit of the Queen, a constitutional monarch whose activities are absolutely ceremonial and apolitical, cannot possibly in the 21st century take precedence over the need to resolve an impasse in our elected Parliament.
Paul Martin had a constitutional and moral responsibility to ascertain the confidence of the House of Commons on Wednesday. When he failed in this responsibility he was thumbing his nose at the conventions of responsible government and modern democracy. His government continued to disregard their constitutional responsibilities on Thursday and yesterday, leaving a frustrated opposition to demonstrate its lack of confidence repeatedly by taking control of parliamentary affairs in one vote after another.
Cry for Canadian democracy, not for the whores and criminals robbing it blind.
Update, May 24, 2005: Sorry, folks: the word is in.
Some uncertain pundits advise that employing the word "whore" to criticize Belinda Strumpet is too predictable. So is "water" when you're talking about water; that's the subject, which is why I used the word "whore" in reference to Belinda Strumpet. Language should communicate, not obfuscate. And I disagree with the suggestion that we refer to Belinda Strumpet as a "sex trade worker."

Bad Guys Winning In Uzbekistan
The old-world savagery of Uzbek president Islam Karimov has hit the big-time:
Strategy Page recounts the events leading to Karimov's murderous crackdown on demonstrators there.
NPR's Galima Bukharbayeva barely survived reporting from the scene of the massacre.
Glenn Reynolds has a comprehensive list of links here.

Why Would Canadians Vote For Liberal Corruption?
Here is a question for all of British Columbia's federal Liberal Party candidates in the coming Canadian federal election:
The Gomery Inquiry has exposed the Liberal Party as the most powerful, pervasive and subversive criminal organization in Canada's history. They have bullied and terrorized opponents, laundered illegal campaign funds through organized criminal activity and broken every rule on the way to betraying Canadians' trust in a constitutional government system whose seminal document guarantees "peace, order and good government."
Paul Martin has followed up all that with billions of dollars in bribes to Ontarian voters.
Why would anyone vote for you?

Fish Swim. Birds Fly. MSM Lies, People Die
newsweek subverts American efforts in the WoT, ignites Muslim anti-American rage and all they can do is worse. This is the same bunch that gave Drudge his creds when he discovered newsweek's editorial board was going to sit on the Monica Lewinsky affair. Another MSM giant collapses under the weight of its own hubris. Historic times.
newsweek had to know that the story would inflame Islamofascist hatred against the infidel (of course, anyone in the west can do that--all one need do is exist); the only explanation I can think of for such grievous journalistic malpractice is the MSM's undying complusion to go after Dubya, through the military of course, with nothing but rumours. It is almost as self-destructive an act as was the Rather scandal, and that would have been fine if it stopped there. But people got killed and American efforts in the region have been quite profoundly undermined, which could result in more losses, both strategic and human.
At every turn, their collective hatred of Dubya has been the undoing of the MSM and the left; the collateral damage is the cost this hatred exacts on the fight against terrorism and Islamofascism, to the detriment of everyone except the enemy.
Counterpoint
Speaking of the enemy, LGF links to this counterpoint:
"As Islamist groups rage and riot and declare holy war over Newsweek’s now-retracted “Koran desecration” story, it may be helpful, for the sake of clarity, to remember what happened in April 2002 when Palestinian terrorists took over Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity and held priests and nuns hostage for weeks."
Further
Michelle Malkin:
Reader M.E. points out:
Just for the sake of argument let's say the Newsweek article was true. No one's pointing out that Newsweek is the same publication that had a non-disclosure agreement with the Kerry campaign last fall. The editors agreed that anything their reporters discovered while "embedded" with Kerry/Edwards would not be published until after the '04 election. So let me get this straight... Agreeing not to air Kerry's dirty laundry during a political campaign is fine and dandy. But not airing Gitmo's dirty laundry during the War on Terror would be a compromise of journalistic ethics. Got it.
I had forgotten about that cozy arrangement between Kerry and Newsweek. Thanks for the reminder.

The Spiders And The Fly
Dr. Rusty Shackleford credits Jawa Report readers for engaging an islamofacist idiot who could not resist being baited. Once the guy's fatwa e-mail arrived in Shackleford's inbox, the Doctor did what he always does: he posted it so his readers could have at the guy. The FBI got involved, and now the dummy is in jail.
Note that the reader who reported this guy to the FBI cautions us to wait for the details before assigning kudos, and rightly so.

The Canadian "Family"
Attention, America:
Your hapless, helpless neighbour to the North is run by the Liberal Party Of Canada, exposed by the Gomery Inquiry as a crime family whose exploits put John Gotti's best efforts to shame.
Institute for Public Affairs of Montreal president and soon-to-be Gomery witness Beryl Wajsmann is speaking out on the AdScam Inquiry, how it serves to shield Paul Martin from having to come clean with the Canadian people, and how Martin, Alfonse Gagliano and Daniel Dezainde are involved.
And yet, I predict that no matter what sort of Liberal Party malignancies come to light, on election day Ontarians will still be mindless enough to vote the Liberals back into office, forcing all Canadians to put up with their cyclical dictatorship under the heels of the biggest and most pervasive criminal organization in this nation's history.
Quebecers, Albertans and British Columbians will then truly consider separating from Canada, not as a means of winning more favours from Ottawa, but to get the hell out of this failed sinkhole of a former parliamentary democracy, now run by political dons in Quebec.
The game should be over for these weasels. Now.

Stupid Is As Stupid Does
Bill Maher recently ran into someone with a sense of morality, as described in the National Review Online's Corner (ht: HH). Maher is a darling of the left by dint of his supposed political and comedic sophistication (see Al Franken, Jon Stewart et al), in this case made manifest by his studied approach to child abuse: he claims that as a boy he was savagely beaten by schoolyard thugs, but now that he's a grown man with hindsight, he would rather have been gently masturbated by Michael Jackson.

Kill Ann Coulter! Part Two
Update on Kill Ann Coulter! : I value real dialogue, so I've assigned some real estate here at Abu Wabu to those allied against Anne Coulter at Markos Moulitsas "Screw Them" Zuniga's website, with regard to the aforementioned idiocy. The following comments are from the leading leftist blogsite in the western hemisphere and it's an anti-intellectual tour de force the sort of which I am unfortunately too often called upon to endure these days. This is the left in America today, folks. Heeeeeere we go:
Black Max: "This is prime. I have a new hero, at least for the rest of the day.
"The Gnostic: "Rabid Coulter..should have been frog marched out of several news programs for her lewd Clinton-c*mming-in-the-sink comments. God knows how many times that f*cking @ss-bite would have and should have been arrested for her nasty rhetoric. Queen of the Fascists is her well-earned title. Those f*cking pig cops are going to regret that. There are pig cops and there are Democrat cops, just like there are pig repubs and just regular everyday folks, the Democrats. Their audacity amazes me everyday. At least Dems are out there swinging these days."
Deep Dark: "No Flame. the issue is not his constitutionally protected speech, there is none of that anywhere in America any more. The point is that Raj has the balls to take back his freedom from the noise machine.I assume he thought he was protected, but that is a mistake for everyone in America today. Only Coulter and her hate mongers are protected, everyone else is a zero and all the zeros in the world still add up to nothing in their eyes. This guy deserves a medal."
AnonymousArmy: "...Anyway...This guy rocks. It's not often you can make a mockery of someone's political hypocrisy while talking about anal sex and pretending to masturbate. The comment was not only lewd but very insightful."
lyvwyr101: "I agree 100%. Every time one of these right-wing-nut bags opens their collective yowls in public; these are the questions they should be dealing with. Kid's a hero, in my book. Anyone who thinks of his question as being in bad taste, what do you call deathtreats? Coulter's in bad taste, not this kid. Kid's an actual hero. Good for him, good for us. About time."
baxxor: "You Rock! We need ten million more liberals like you. I'm getting sick of the timid, cowardly liberals going around with a stick up their @ss."
Fides: "Hero Ajai Raj: Amazing, good stuff. We are too timid. We are afraid of looking like hippies, we are trained to see things from others perspectives, we try and understand that people who disagree with us politically may well be good people. But, at some point, that makes us lambs to the slaughter. So, cheers to Ajai Raj, for standing up, and calling bullshit in a crass, vulgar, but necessary way. It also points out, to me, that what people like Ann Coulter represent is obsenity of a far deeper nature, ultimately corrupting what is truly great about our nation. The police who back her up by inimidating the opposition need to be checked, as well, or the pretense of freedom will be stripped away.Personally, I know I need to be less timid in my opposition, and Ajai is a great example of it."
P A Roberson: "Your actions during this event remind me of...ACT UP. The time to be polite has passed. Attack on all fronts. Take the high road with them and debate them the entire way, but get in the gutter with them too don't give them any ground. This is our country and way of life we are talking about, don't give up without a fight.Thank-you AJAI RAJ for your courage."
fblau: "I am GREEN with envy.I'm sorry, we aren't going to engage ann (or her subs) in anything resembling "civil dialog".Pies and disrruption.Bring It On."
threecents: "You ROCK. I am very very hard man to impress, but you sir have balls of steel, and have indeed impressed me. Keep up the good fight. We need many, many more like you."
x: "This should be the Battle Cry. Everytime one of them shows up spewing their bile, get in line & ask the Ajai Rai Battlecry!Hell it's a verbal Pie In The Face! Nay, perhaps it's the proverbial Side Of Beef In The Face! You Go!Thank you, Ajai. I'm so proud of you."

Kill Ann Coulter!
I appreciate Ann Coulter and don't quite get those who do not. That means someone somewhere hates me, but that Coulter is vilified by the left gives me great hope. A male student asked Ann this question during a recent college campus appearance: "How do you feel about marriages where the man does nothing but f*ck his wife up the @ss?", or some such.
What is it anyway with the left's constant focus on anal intercourse? I thought their men preferred blowjobs in the Oval Office whilst chatting up a member of Congress or lying to the First Lady over the phone. Anyway, I guess this shmuck was attacking Anne's "dark hatred of non-evil." Whatever.
Coulter later professed on the FOX News network that she had no idea what the young man was hoping to accomplish with that question. No word yet on that - let me know if you can fill me in.
Right Wing News shows us how the dialogue with the left is going these days. "Who wants to live in a world where liberals can't shout through a lecture, run around pretending to masturbate, and generally ruin events for everybody else without suffering any consequences?"
Me.

Me.

CNN Drops Facade, Gets To The Point
Not really (what, are you kidding? Not on your Paul Begala-loving life), but this is a good laugh.
Except there's a war on, you know.

The Reverend Pat Robertson
I have never found a reasonable explanation for the imbecilic meanderings of clueless Christian masquerader Pat Robertson. Talk about guys who soil themselves in public.
He can claim parking privileges on the right all he wants, but I say they tow the dummy away RFN. And they have.

Murderous Weasels For Democracy, Part Three
Militant Islam Monitor reports that Holocaust deniers and American Islamofascists have found comfort in each others' arms at a Boca Raton, FL hatefest. It's not that they're excusing terror (oh yeah and by the way, the 9/11 hijackers weren't really Muslims, to be truthful) or anything of such an abhorrent nature; they just want to bring the community together, find common ground, perhaps enjoy some good old Islamic suicide-bomber comedy. And Jews? Well, they can join the fun as long as they practice "true Judaism," which I guess includes tolerating Islamic suicide-bomber comedy.
You'll have to ask either an Islamofascist or a Holocaust-denier for their thoughts on all this.

Captured Iraqi Terrorist Adnan Elias: We Beheaded a Policeman, Filled His Corpse with TNT, and Used It to Blow Up Others
MEMRI has the whole sordid story about the gross evil of Zarqawi's murderers in Iraq. These are the bastards John f'n Kerry would have run from had the Left had its way last November.
It would seem to be long past time for every Bush-hater to check his conscience, but you can't check what isn't there.

Zarqawi Institutes Draft
I hear the U.S. Armed Forces recruiting numbers are down, but then their methods are perhaps not as nuanced as those of world-renowned terrorist pig/Michael Moore Minuteman Abu Musab Al Zarqawi. With a nod to the Irish Republican Army's most cowardly tactic, Zarqawi is now using kidnapping and extortion of innocent Iraqis (and these unfortunate souls are the definition of innocent, in case anyone is unclear on that) to slaughter by proxy in an effort to prevent the building of a democratic Iraq.
