Newt To Media Establishment: Badges? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Badges

Newt Gingrich hit the big ol' Reset button today, declaring that he will have no part in the establishment (that is to say entrenched leftist) media's "gotchya" debate format run by obvious leftist shills like Chrissy and Keef.

Instead, Newt wisely proposes a series of public conversations between declared Republican presidential contenders presented directly to the American citizen, unfettered and unfiltered by the establishment media, who nonetheless are welcome to broadcast the proceedings should they see fit. This is exactly what conservatives need to do: choose the media for their message, and if some big establishment players get left out, well then maybe they ain't such big players any more.

Patrick Gavin's headline reads, "Newt Disses Matthews, Olbermann," but the story goes way beyond that. Newt is not just saying he won't take part in debates run by those two individuals; he is dismissing the entire leftist media template and declaring the establishment of a new one, conceived by the TEA Party and deployed in the midterms to historic effect.

And it has only just begun.

UPDATE
Sarah Palin just declared the same policy on Hannity: if she likes the cut of your journalistic jib, she'll have time for you. If she thinks you're out to hit her, forget it.

Like in real life.
