Obama Disappearing The Unemployed
NRO's Jim Geraghty has noticed a new category of the unemployed created by Obama that didn't exist during the Bush era, which enjoyed low unemployment rates of just 4 to 6 percent, actuarially full employment, for the entire 8 year period. The Obama administration has labelled them "discouraged workers" because they have been unemployed for so long that they have given up hope of finding a job. Because their presence in the stats would expose real unemployment to be somewhere above 25 percent, "discouraged workers" don't show up in the unemployment statistics in Obama's America. They are simply, conveniently "disappeared":
