Obama's Cynicism Exposed

Meanwhile, Obama is Still Killing The Economy

Peter Wehner drops a devastating bomb on the transparent dishonesty of the President-Trainee's empty promises to the American people in his Commentary Magazine article, An Agent of Cynicism:

Barack Obama is perpetrating a fiction. And it is fiction from a man who made "change" and "new politics" centerpieces of his campaign. Even many who voted against Obama took him at his word because, to quote Obama himself, "words mean something." We admired not simply his skills, but his capacity to tap into something real and hopeful in America (Editor's note: Mr. Wehner speaks for himself here. I've known all along that the bastard was a charlatan, as all four regular readers will know.).

"Where we are met with cynicism and doubt and those who tell us that we can't," Obama said on the night he was elected, "we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes we can."

And when we are met with politicians who pretend that the politics of cynicism is the politics of hope and ask us to go along for the ride, who vulgarize and invert the meaning of words in order to advance their own narrow aims, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the wisdom of an awakened people: No we won't.
Speaking of Messianic-grade cynicism, The Office of the President-Trainee flip-flopped on signing statements. Guess it's just another one of those little irrelevant Bush thingies that He hopes to slip by the flock he is fleecing, one little irrelevant Bush thingie at a time.

Like Gitmo.

And renditions.

And staying in Iraq.

And bombing in Pakistan.

And signing statements.

And...

And...

And...
