Freeman Gone, Blames Juice

From The Office of the President-Trainee:

Director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair announced today that Ambassador Charles W. Freeman Jr. has requested that his selection to be Chairman of the National Intelligence Council not proceed. Director Blair accepted Ambassador Freeman’s decision with regret.

Here's what the President-Trainee's nominee Charles Freeman said about the Tiananmen Square uprising when he thought no-one was taking notes:

The truly unforgivable mistake of the Chinese authorities was the failure to intervene on a timely basis to nip the demonstrations in the bud, rather than — as would have been both wise and efficacious — to intervene with force when all other measures had failed to restore domestic tranquility.
What more do you need to know? Well, for starters, how's about that he liked the "rape defense" for 9/11, the one where America deserved it because America supports freedom for Jews from mass murder:
We have paid heavily and often in treasure for our unflinching support and unstinting subsidies of Israel’s approach to managing its relations with the Arabs. Five years ago, we began to pay with the blood of our citizens here at home.
This is the anti-Israeli, Saudi-Chinese-sycophant, totalitarian regime-enabler and terror-apologist the President-Trainee chose to head the National Intelligence Council. The National Intelligence Council, for Christ's sake. Chosen by the President-Trainee, folks. Meaning Obama actually looked at the guy's resume and said, "yeah, there you go, there's the right man for that job, for sure: just what we need to fuck U.S. intel into the dirt for the next fifty years."

Mercifully, Freeman was forced to withdraw today, and boy was he smarting over how badly his fraternizing with the Chinese and Saudi regimes exposed his anti-American, anti-democratic, anti-free speech, anti-Israeli world view. By smarting, I mean whining. By whining I mean blaming the Jooos for pointing out that he's exactly the sort of weasel the U.S. does not want formulating its intelligence evaluations when his two bestest friends in the world are the Chinese and the Saudis.

Is there nothing President-Trainee Obama won't try in his quest to run the Good Ship America aground?

Quoth House Intelligence Committee ranking member Pete Hoekstra,

The Director of National Intelligence has informed the committee that Charles Freeman has decided to withdraw his name from further consideration as chairman of the National Intelligence Council. The decision by Mr. Freeman to withdraw his name is the right decision under the circumstances.

“Mr. Freeman’s selection as chairman of the council was a poor choice from the beginning. Given his financial dealings with a Chinese state-run oil company and the backing of his think tank by the government of Saudi Arabia, it raises serious questions about the vetting that was done by the administration. Mr. Freeman’s extensive record of questionable public statements, including those that seemed to defend the Tiananmen Square massacre and raise questions about the American character following the 9/11 attacks, should have been more than enough to give the administration pause.

This is yet another breakdown in the Obama administration vetting process—one more in a long series of missteps. More fundamentally, on an intelligence matter, it calls into question the essential judgments being made. As with Guantanamo Bay and interrogation, the administration seemingly reached a decision before thinking through all the issues. I hope the administration will show greater consideration in the future.”

Greater consideration? How about any consideration at all? Or is the United States just one of 190 countries out there that ain't mo' special than anybody else?

And lying idiots accuse Rush of wanting America to fail.

Michelle's links show the real man. Ugh.
