Now Is The Time

Hamas has gotten the war it agitated for by way of 3,000 rocket attacks on Israeli in 2008, all of which were directed at civilian targets. The IDF has finally responded by bombarding Hamas' infrastructure in what is left of Gaza since those animals took over.

Good.

And if, to borrow an idiot's words, Israel breaks a few eggs in the form of Palestinian civilian casualties, that's on the heads of Hamas, who daily randomly attack Israeli civilians from behind the skirts of a willing Palestinian population.

This could all be over tomorrow if these savages would simply stop attacking Israel and get down to the business of nation-building. As it is, there is no hope for a civilized Hamas, no hope for a civilized Palestinian state that is peaceful to Israel, and therefore no hope for anything but war. Hamas and the Palestinians have demanded it; Israel should deliver it in overwhelming fashion until the enemy surrenders unconditionally.

The absurd notion of "proportional response" is nothing but weasel words expressing the weasel's desire to tie Israel's hands against an implacably bloodthirsty enemy. The IDF's air strikes today were perfectly proportional, designed as they were to smite Hamas without mercy or restraint; it is the only way peace is won against such soulless murderers.

Hamas has been indiscriminately bombarding Israeli citizens for years with almost complete impunity. Israel must finally cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war.

UPDATE
Gabriel Malor on what idiots refuse to admit:

It's been said before but it is worth repeating a thousand times: if Hamas, Hezbollah, and most of the Arab states (and Iran) laid down their weapons tomorrow and forgot about their plans to dissolve Israel, there would be peace in the Middle East. The Israelis could forget about the fences and the Palestinians might one day have something approximating a Western standard of living. On the other hand, if Israel laid down its weapons tomorrow, the country would be utterly annihilated, the Israelis killed to the last man, woman, and child.
That is to say slaughtered; murdered en masse. In other words, a brand new Holocaust.

Meanwhile, Abbas triangulates:

Hamas could have prevented the "massacre" in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said Sunday in Cairo.

"We spoke to them and told them 'Please, we ask you not to end the cease-fire. Let it continue,'" Abbas said during a joint press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit. "We want to protect the Gaza Strip. We don't want it to be destroyed."

Abbas called on Hamas to renew the cease-fire with Israel to avoid further bloodshed in Gaza.

And (via Gateway Pundit) Egypt condemns:

The Egyptian foreign minister has accused Hamas of not allowing injured Palestinians to leave Gaza to seek treatment, even though much-needed medical supplies are waiting at the nearby El-Arish airport.

Doubling down:

An Israeli offensive against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip has entered its third day Monday, with the Palestinian death toll from air strikes surpassing 300. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says the operation that began Saturday may last a long time.

Until Hamas is destroyed, its leaders eliminated and the Palestinians relieved of their bloodlust? Now is the time.
