Idiot blowhard Jane Hamsher attacks Elizabeth Edwards for her criticism of the idiotic Moveon ad slandering General Patreus. The insufferable Mizz Hamsher admonishes Mrs. Edwards thusly:

[MoveOn is] out there on the left so you can look “moderate.” They’re saying what needs to be said, opening the conversation up so John Edwards isn’t considered the left-wing fringe loon that nobody should listen to.

In other words,

"We at Moveondotorg are going to leverage our overt left-wing fringe lunacy to distract the voter from your covert left-wing fringe lunacy, so shut up about the ads we buy in the New York Times, already!"

"And don't question our patriotism!"

The agenda must be hidden and dissent is forbidden.
