No Ordinary Idiot
I don't mind listening to droning bathos or self-absorbed whining as long as it comes from an appropriate source like, say, a twelve-year-old, and in an appropriate setting, such as a middle-school auditorium with well-marked exits. But when it comes from Fringeworld Plaything™ Cindy She-Hen, I'm out the door with a bullet.
Catherine Seipp expresses similar feelings in her review of She-Hen's ambitious 24-page anti-war, anti-Bush and anti-intellectual opus, Dear President Bush (available for $1.00 from Amazon). Titled "Dear Useful Idiot", Seipp's review has more substance in but two sentences than does She-Hen's entire masterwork:

She continues to inspire idiocy in others, which is why she remains such an icon.I know that might sound disapproving, but if you really, really love Cindy She-Hen, you'll really, really love Seipp's review, because it will take you less time to read, even if you take extra time for the hard parts.
