Larry C. Johnson worked for the CIA for four years in the early eighties or so and is now a self-professed expert on worldwide spookiness. In 2002, at the request of Vice President Dick Cheney, Wilson was assigned by the C.I.A. to investigate claims that Saddam Hussein was seeking to acquire uranium from Niger for the purpose of advancing his nuclear program."

The bio then says, "When his (Wilson's) investigation turned up nothing, Wilson reported back to officials in Washington that there was no basis for the claims."
We have long known these are patent lies, the purpose of which was to a) cover up the fact that Valerie Plame Wilson was responsible for sending her husband to Niger b) attempt to legitimize a story fabricated by a cabal of CIA employees, including Larry Johnson, Mary McCarthy and numerous others, in co-ordination with the Kerry campaign, for the purpose of undermining the Bush administration in hopes of propelling John Kerry to the White House in 2004.
