Rummy and the T-Word
Donald Rumsfeld is accused of approving methods of torture used in Iraq. This should be fun.
Dr. Rusty Shackleford at My Pet Jawa cites the enemy’s modus operandi as all the evidence needed to skewer its claims against the U.S. government of illegal torture, when in fact Rummy has spared their lives (no biggie; that's what the U.S. does) and given them the opportunity to challenge him in a U.S. court. It's called democracy and human rights. But these guys have one problem:
Dr. Rusty: "When you engage in military actions against the US you ought to be treated as an enemy. The last time I checked the Geneva Convention allowed captured non-uniformed combatants caught engaged in acts of sabotage to be put to death. Even when those combatants are domestic citizens."
Dare I say, "Especially?"
Yet Dubya has them in the Caribbean; now that's what I call a good sport.
