There is emerging evidence of a push by Sunnis for political, as opposed to homicidal, participation in the new Iraq. Bill Roggio at The Fourth Rail explains how Sunni chieftains are "scared shitless." My favourite quote is this pants-on-fire gem from Adnan al-Duleimi, the head of Sunni Endowments in Baghdad: "When we said that we are not going to take part, that didn't mean that we are not going to take part in the political process."
