Now Is The Time
And if, to borrow an idiot's words, Israel breaks a few eggs in the form of Palestinian civilian casualties, that's on the heads of Hamas, who daily randomly attack Israeli civilians from behind the skirts of a willing Palestinian population.
This could all be over tomorrow if these savages would simply stop attacking Israel and get down to the business of nation-building. As it is, there is no hope for a civilized Hamas, no hope for a civilized Palestinian state that is peaceful to Israel, and therefore no hope for anything but war. Hamas and the Palestinians have demanded it; Israel should deliver it in overwhelming fashion until the enemy surrenders unconditionally.
The absurd notion of "proportional response" is nothing but weasel words expressing the weasel's desire to tie Israel's hands against an implacably bloodthirsty enemy. The IDF's air strikes today were perfectly proportional, designed as they were to smite Hamas without mercy or restraint; it is the only way peace is won against such soulless murderers.
Hamas has been indiscriminately bombarding Israeli citizens for years with almost complete impunity. Israel must finally cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war.
Gabriel Malor on what idiots refuse to admit:
It's been said before but it is worth repeating a thousand times: if Hamas, Hezbollah, and most of the Arab states (and Iran) laid down their weapons tomorrow and forgot about their plans to dissolve Israel, there would be peace in the Middle East. The Israelis could forget about the fences and the Palestinians might one day have something approximating a Western standard of living. On the other hand, if Israel laid down its weapons tomorrow, the country would be utterly annihilated, the Israelis killed to the last man, woman, and child. That is to say slaughtered; murdered en masse. In other words, a brand new Holocaust.
Meanwhile, Abbas triangulates:
Hamas could have prevented the "massacre" in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said Sunday in Cairo.
"We spoke to them and told them 'Please, we ask you not to end the cease-fire. Let it continue,'" Abbas said during a joint press conference with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit. "We want to protect the Gaza Strip. We don't want it to be destroyed."
Abbas called on Hamas to renew the cease-fire with Israel to avoid further bloodshed in Gaza.
The Egyptian foreign minister has accused Hamas of not allowing injured Palestinians to leave Gaza to seek treatment, even though much-needed medical supplies are waiting at the nearby El-Arish airport.
An Israeli offensive against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip has entered its third day Monday, with the Palestinian death toll from air strikes surpassing 300. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says the operation that began Saturday may last a long time.
Until Hamas is destroyed, its leaders eliminated and the Palestinians relieved of their bloodlust? Now is the time.

Top Ten Reasons The New York Times Is Going Down
Barack Obama's close friend, confidant and political mentor William Ayers cannot be dismissed as a meaningless relic of minor interest. Ayers' and his wife's shared philosophy and world view are central to Barack Obama's success, which validates the acts of these cold-blooded terrorists who have unapologetically and enthusiastically murdered and maimed innocent Americans.
The Greenwich Village blast Ayers pathologically claims was the catalyst that led to forming the Weather Underground was actually his group’s third botched attempt at mass murder. Ayers personally ordered mass murder attempts at the Detroit Police Benevolent Association and Detroit Police Precinct 13 in February 1970, using bombs comprised of 44 sticks of dynamite. It was only the Weathermen’s incompetence at constructing fuses that kept these blasts from going off and creating dozens of casualties.
Weeks later the Greenwich Village blast occurred when a terrorist cell of the Weather Underground accidentally detonated anti-personnel bombs they were assembling for an attack against soldiers and their dates at a non-commissioned officers dance at nearby Fort Dix that evening. Had the plot succeeded, the planned attack would likely have been the worst terrorist attack on American soil prior to the Oklahoma City bombing.
Bill Ayers would like to use the fog of time to plead his case that he was just another protester against the Vietnam war, a point that the Times is perhaps willing to let him make considering his longtime association with the president-elect they so nakedly support. No amount of inspired fantasy, however, can omit the simple truth that there is only one significant difference between Bill Ayers and Timothy McVeigh.
The explosion of the townhouse in Greenwich Village was the result of a bomb factory which was preparing bombs containing roofing nails for use at a Fort Dix enlisted club. The inclusion of roofing nails can have but one purpose and that’s to injure or kill people. Prior to this event Bill’s wife, Bernardine Dorhn, placed a bomb of the same design at the Park Police Station in San Francisco and killed Officer McDonnell. Additionally, I was still inside the Weather Underground when the townhouse blew up and the commitment to sabotage and terrorism had already been established and the purpose was the overthrow of the United States government.
Bill implies that the questioning of his activities is dishonest and that at worst he may have made some mistakes in judgment but his motivations were just. Personally, I can think of nothing that would justify the activities of the Weather Underground and am astonished by Bill Ayers’ attempts to corrupt the historical facts by making himself a misunderstood leader of the anti-war movement. Robert Kennedy, possibly the most notable anti-Vietnam war leader of the late 60s, was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan in 1968. The Weather Underground published Prairie Fire in 1974 and dedicated it to Sirhan Sirhan. Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dorhn, and others signed this dedication but now they would ask us to accept their explanation that all they wanted to accomplish was an end to the war in Vietnam.
I could go on with many other contradictions in the new history Billy is attempting to impose on us. Today we are supposed to believe that Bill is merely an educator with no interests in the political aspects of our society. If this is true then why the picture of him standing on our flag? Why the statement that his only regret is that they (the Weather Underground) hadn’t done enough? What is the meaning of “I now consider myself an anarchist”? I can only conclude that Billy is a confluence of contradictions and revised history meant to confuse us as to what he is really about. Consider “guilty as hell, free as a bird, America is a great country.”
Do you think he really means that?
Until Barack Obama specifically renounces Ayers and Dorhn and terrorist acts, he besmirches the blood of the American innocents that stains their wretched hands.
The bottom line is that Barack Obama's first political mentor is a dishonest and worthless little piece of shit, an empty coward whose word counts for less than nothing.

Cheney: Top Democrats Agreed To Warrantless Wiretapping
By the time this pretender is finished he will have absconded with, debased and cheapened every symbol of American greatness, to say nothing of America itself.
Idiots can laugh with glee now, but it's them that'll be crying 4-8 years from now, I guarantee.
And conservatives will not be in a generous mood.

Merry Christmas For Me, But Not For Thee
Olby's innocent-by-virtue-of-religious-affiliation "six morons", the Fort Dix Islamofascist assholes have been found guilty of conspiring to kill military personnel and face life in prison.
Merry Christmas, assholes.
But take heart, assholes: Jonah Goldberg is looking out for you. After all, it's just that your motives weren't as pure as Obama's pal Bill Ayers.
Child Porn Investigation Catches California Democrat/Clinton Lawyer/Kerry Friend
CNN notes his bio, but doesn't ever actually call him a Democrat. They do allow that when he once ran for office, "He ran as a Democrat."
Not that he actually is one. Just that he ran as one, you see. False flag. Real Democrats don't look at child porn.

Your Weekly Message From The Office Of The Vice-President Elect: "N' Duh".
Now we have today's Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, during which Vice President Vader points out the hapless Biden's constitutional illiteracy once again:
Joe's been chairman of the Judiciary Committee, a member of the Judiciary Committee in the Senate for 36 years, teaches constitutional law back in Delaware, and can't keep straight which article of the Constitution provides for the legislature and which provides for the executive. So I think I'd write that off as campaign rhetoric. I don't take it seriously.Nor will anyone else with any brains. But it gets better. Joe decides to hit back and, in so doing, shits the bed even worse than he did the first time. Something about quitting while you still look like just an idiot...
Shannen Coffin reviews the play and makes the call:
Keep it up, Joe. At this rate, you'll know more about the Constitution than your non-lawyer predecessor in, well, never.

Death By A Thousand Entitlements
Americans were notoriously optimistic because we counted on tomorrow being better than yesterday. We were an open people dependent on fair play and a free market bounded by a standard of virtue. With all the blemishes in our past and breaches in our own ethics, we were a model of civic rectitude. "Dems that gives, gets;" those who wish to bilk the system will be discovered and isolated. An idiot blogger (no link) recently observed the peace sign's fiftieth birthday by demanding of it, "But what have you done for me lately?", perfectly capturing the terminally flawed entitlement mentality of the left.
There was a time not so long ago when people did not depend on government to bail them out of financial difficulty, a time when the nanny state bred apprehension, not affection. Now, it seems, in the new America almost everyone wants a free ride. The non-tax payer wants a rebate from the taxpayer. The poor man wants everything the rich man has and he wants the rich man to give it to him.
Enemies of the nation, it turns out, are not enemies at all; we merely defined them as adversaries. Had we been clever in the past, we could have defined them out of existence. All we have to do is engage in "soft power," diplomacy and clever negotiating skill. Surely those who want to kill us will be persuaded that swords should be converted into plowshares. It's odd, but Osama bin Laden doesn't seem to embrace this position.
The America of now is one where Orwellian logic rules. Redistribution of wealth is fairness. Taxes are patriotic. The free market should be a regulated market. Big government is good for you. Politicians know what kind of health care is best for you. Choice should be limited, except when it comes to abortion. Power comes from being
powerless. Progressive education is designed to promote progress toward socialism. Race doesn't count unless a person of color tells you it counts. Higher education gets lower each year. Those who create our problems should be asked to solve them. Religion should be a private matter that does not inform public morality. Liberal is radical. Free speech is selective speech. Courage is impetuousness.
Yes, Americans - many Americans - want change. The level of dissatisfaction runs deep. But the national cri de coeur hasn't a direction. That's what makes it so dangerous. Americans live better than at any moment in our collective history, notwithstanding the meltdown on Wall Street, yet despair is ubiquitous. Admittedly observing 401K accounts disappear as soap bubbles will make anyone angry. Nonetheless, it is a privilege to live in the land of the free, a privilege now regarded as an entitlement.
It was once wrong to use community groups such as ACORN to steal an election. It was once wrong to conceal one's past in order to invent an identity. It was once wrong to use the instrument of government finance to satisfy a constituency and then claim an unregulated market is what ails us. It was once wrong to lie in a campaign and still is except when the media panjandrums avert their gaze for the lies of a favored candidate.
"What have you done for me lately?" Whatever it is, it's never enough. The maw opens ever wider.
The whiney and the selfish have, for now, won the day. The good news is that they always self-destruct; it's up to the rest of us to save the American Experiment. It will be very difficult, but we can do it.
Yes We Can.

Coulda Woulda Shoulda
Of course, for all his indignation and bluster here, one has to ask: where the hell were you, Joe?

Happy Fifth Anniversary, Iraq
Hey, buds, I gots me somethin'!
Gabe Ledeen offers his thoughts on how this one event changed the nature of life in Iraq:
Saddam Hussein, his sons, and his supporters terrorized the people of Iraq and subjected them to violence and maltreatment without reason or restraint. His record of rape, torture, murder, and oppression is well documented but marginalized and deflected by critics who claim that the violence of the war overshadows Hussein’s heinous crimes. This argument does not, and cannot stand."This argument" remains the most morally barren I have ever heard, advanced by the most morally barren I have ever known.

How To Deal With An Idiot
Then a drunken local teen punk came along and ruined the mood, breaking a beer bottle on the pavement in the parking lot and offering up a stream of profanity as we passed through. I called him out on his behavior. He insulted my beloved wife and invited me to "bring it", so I broke his nose and put him on his ass in front of all his little pals.
Didn't want to.
Felt I owed it to him.
A couple of nights later I serenaded my beloved wife while we walked through the town park, and all was peaceful.
